The top six found space off the rush, the power play converted twice, and Semyon Varlamov's calm rebound control shut down Columbus momentum. The Islanders were first to loose pucks for most of the night, stacked possession time in the offensive zone, and kept the Blue Jackets from mounting sustained pressure after the midpoint of the second.
